POBNEWS24, Dhaka Oct 20, 2023 : Prayers have been offered in mosques in Bangladesh for the victims of the brutal attacks by the Israeli occupation forces.

On Friday (October 20) this prayer was offered after the Friday prayer. The worshipers prayed for the oppressed Muslims of Palestine in various mosques of the country, including Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital.

In the prayer, God’s mercy is sought for the Palestinians persecuted by Israel. The worshipers prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of the dead and for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Special prayers and prayers for Palestinians are held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Friday. Prayers and prayers were led by Khatib Hafez Maulana Mufti Mohammad Ruhul Amin of Baitul Mukarram Mosque. At this time, special prayers were offered for the souls of the citizens killed in Gaza and other places in Palestine.

Imam and Khatib Mufti Azizul Islam Qasemi of Baitul Aman (Chanbanu) Jame Masjid in Matuail, Jatrabari of the capital requested everyone to pray for the Palestinians by praying two rakats at night before the Friday sermon. He said, I have seen many fasting. Prayers for the oppressed Palestinian brothers may be the means of our liberation. We will pray for them in the sermon today.

He prayed for the Palestinians at the beginning of the prayer at the end of two rakats of obligatory prayer after the sermon. In the prayer, he said, O Allah, because of our sins, the Palestinian brothers are being killed today, please forgive us. You fulfill all the needs of the Palestinian brothers.

At that time, the worshipers of the mosque, including the khatib, burst into tears. Everyone tearfully prayed for God’s mercy for the oppressed Palestinians.

At the end of Friday prayers in mosques across the country, prayers are offered for the souls of those killed in Palestine and for the recovery of the injured.

Bangladesh has announced a one-day national mourning for the death of Palestinian citizens in the brutal attack by the Israeli forces. A notification was issued by the Cabinet Department on Thursday (October 19) declaring state mourning on Saturday (October 21).

On the occasion of national mourning, special prayers will be organized in all mosques of the country and special prayers in other religious institutions for the peace of the souls of the dead and the well-being of the injured on Friday after Juma, the announcement said.

Israel continues its indiscriminate airstrikes on Gaza. Hundreds of Palestinians are losing their lives. At least 500 people lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza’s Al Ahli Arab Hospital, the Ministry of Health said.
