POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 9, 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina felicitated the victorious women’s football team. He gave this reception as the chief guest at Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s office today at 10 am. The Prime Minister gave the check to 23 footballers and 11 coaches and officials of the champion team.
He handed over a check of Tk 5 lakh to each player and Tk 2 lakh to the coaches and officials.
At the reception, the Prime Minister wished the winning women footballers more success. Later the victorious players presented their championship trophy to the Prime Minister.
The event was presided over by the State Minister of Youth and Sports. Zahid Ahsan Russell. Youth and Sports Secretary Mejbah Uddin, Football Federation President Kazi Md Salahuddin and captain Sabina Khatun are special guests.
Earlier, on September 19, Bangladesh defeated Nepal 3-1 in the final of the Women’s SAFF Championship for the first time in South Asia. After winning the title, the girls received one after the other. This time he received a reception from the Prime Minister.
