POBNEWS24, Dhaka Apr 24, 2024 : A Rohingya community leader was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Ukhiya Rohingya camp of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night (April 23).
The deceased was known as Syedul Amin, 45, son of Ashraf Ali, hailed from Kutupalang camp’s DA-11 block.
Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge Md Shamim Hossain said that miscreants attacked the victim with sharp weapon around 9:00am, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar hospital for autopsy, OC added.
