Monday marks the 12th day of the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine. A statement from the Ukrainian army’s general staff said Moscow had begun gathering supplies for the attack in Kiev. With tanks and armored vehicles, various infantry are advancing on Irpin, a town near Kiev. From there they will lay the groundwork for the attack.
The statement further added that Russian commanders were supplying their forces with fuel from Belarus. Fuel is being sent through the ‘exclusion zone’ of the Chernobyl power plant.
The BBC quoted some Ukrainian officials as saying that the Russian army was trying to lay siege to the eastern cities of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumi and the southern city of Mikolayev.

Meanwhile, citing an unnamed source, Russian media have accused Ukraine of developing a “dirty bomb” or an atomic bomb. According to the report, Ukraine was on the verge of making the bomb. However, the source could not provide any evidence in support of that claim. Westerners have dismissed accusations against Ukraine as a “false pretext” for Russia.
