POBNEWS24,Dhaka Dec 30, 2021: Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been shortlisted for the ICC’s 2021 Player of the Year for boys ODI cricket. The ICC released the list in a statement on its website on Thursday. The list was compiled by the ICC’s Awards Panel to judge performance between January 1 and December 31, 2021.
Also on the list are Pakistan captain Babar Azam, South Africa’s Janeman Malan and Ireland’s Paul Sterling. Shakib Al Hasan can also get this recognition for his great performance with bat and ball this year. In 2021, Shakib has scored 26 runs in 9 ODIs at an average of 39.56 with 2 fifties. He took 18 wickets at an average of 18.52. Performing a series-winning performance against the West Indies in January.
