POBNEWS24, Dhaka Dec 2, 2021 : Education Minister Dipu Moni said the 2022 SSC and HSC exams could be held in the middle of that year. It is unlikely to happen before.
The Education Minister said this while inspecting the HSC examination center which started on Thursday. He visited the Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College Center in the capital. He was accompanied by Mahbub Hossain, Secretary, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Syed Golam Faruk, Director General, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, and Nehal Ahmed, Chairman, Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education.
SSC examinations were usually held in February and HSC examinations in April of each year. But due to the corona infection, the entire curriculum has become chaotic for almost two and a quarter years.
This year’s SSC exams were held last month after a long hiatus. And today HSC and equivalent examination has started.
It has already been said that next year’s SSC and HSC exams will also be postponed due to poor class. Now, when can these two important exams take place, the education minister said.
Dipu Moni said that as these two tests have to be taken in November-December this year, they are hoping that the way they have coped with the corona infection, next year’s test will not be so late. You can take it before. However, the test may not be in the first part of the year. May be in the middle of the year. They are hoping that both the SSC and HSC exams will be held by the middle of the year.
Asked if there were any preparations to close the educational institution again if needed due to the new type of corona, Dipu Moni said, “We pray, hopefully, that the educational institution will have to close again. But if there is a need because of the situation, then of course, any decision will be taken to protect the health of the students.
Stating that there is no chance of leaking questions in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations, the Education Minister said that strict action will be taken against those who are involved in spreading rumors or engaging in immorality like leaking question papers.
In this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations, 9 general education boards and madrasa and technical education boards together, the total number of candidates is a little over 1.4 million. The number of candidates has increased more than last time.
According to the pre-announcement, this test is being conducted by reducing the number and time (in one and a half hours) in three group based subjects. There is no break between multiple choice (MCQ) and creative (CQ) part exams.
