POBNEWS24, Dhaka Sep 1, 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Technical development is needed in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. So there is no substitute for technical education. He said this in a speech today Thursday (September 1) in an event at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the three-day long 24th National Conference and 43rd Council Session of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) virtually as the chief guest.
Connecting virtually from Ganabhaban, he also said that the changes that will come in this era of technology also require skilled manpower. So there is no substitute for technical education. The next generation needs to be transformed into skilled manpower through technical and technological education.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also said that diploma engineering education was made of four years duration and made world standard. I took this decision. I think that’s how it should be. He asked the Ministry of Education to consider the decision to make the term three years.
