POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 5, 2021 :Abir Mohammad alias Sohag has been appointed as a member of the newly formed committee of Brahmanbaria District Chhatra League. However, Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, the district secretary of Chhatra Dal, issued a notice to expel him from the organization stating that he was in the post of Chhatra Dal. After that Saiful was relieved of his post by the district Chhatra Dal.
District Chhatra Dal office secretary Saiful Islam informed about the expulsion of Abir Mohammad from Chhatra Dal through a press release on Wednesday. It is mentioned in the notification that Abir Mohammad was the former general secretary of Paschim Union Chhatra Dal No. 6 of Kasba Upazila. He was expelled for getting membership of Chhatra League
In this situation, the district president Sheikh Mohammad. Hafiz Ullah and general secretary Rubel Chowdhury said in a statement that department secretary Saiful would be released. It has been said in the notification that Saiful Islam is publishing important statements of the organization at different times without complying with the constitution. Saiful’s reckless and irresponsible actions are causing extreme damage to the decision making organization. Some BCL leaders and activists said that the president and general secretary of the district BCL made the announcement under pressure from the BCL leaders.
Rubel Chowdhury, general secretary of the district Chhatra Dal, told Prothom Alo that Saiful, who was referred to as Chhatra Dal, had never held any post in the Chhatra Dal. Regarding the pressure of the BCL leaders, he said, there is no issue of pressure here. Saiful did not do the right thing.
Abir Mohammad claimed that he has been involved in BCL politics since 2010. A court is doing this to humiliate him.
A 349-member committee of the Brahmanbaria District BCL was announced on October 31 signed by Central BCL President Al Nahyan Khan and General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharya.
