POBNEWS24, April 28, 2022 : The meteorological office said that the heat wave will continue for four days in different parts of the country. For the last few days, mild to moderate heat wave has been flowing over Khulna division including Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rangamati, Rajshahi and Pabna districts and it will continue for some more time.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 8 am on Thursday said that there may be temporary gusts / thunderstorms with strong gusts / thundershowers in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.
Day and night temperatures across the country can remain almost unchanged. Rain or thunderstorms are likely to increase in the next three days, the meteorological office said.
The highest temperature of the country was recorded in Rajshahi at 36.9 degrees Celsius yesterday. Among the divisional cities, Dhaka recorded the highest temperature at 35.4 degrees Celsius, Mymensingh at 32.5 degrees Celsius, Chittagong at 33.3 degrees Celsius, Sylhet at 33.4 degrees Celsius, Rangpur at 31.2 degrees Celsius, Khulna at 36 degrees Celsius and Barisal at 35.5 degrees Celsius. The forecast also said that most of the western light pressure is located in and around West Bengal in the foothills of the Himalayas.
