POBNEWS24, Dhaka Sep 10, 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit London in the United Kingdom and New York and Washington DC in the United States this September. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen is also on the list of his tour companions. The Ministry of External Affairs last week issued a Government Order (GO) regarding the foreign minister’s visit to London, New York and Washington, subject to the approval of the appropriate authorities.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit London, New York and Washington from September 15 to 30.
The Prime Minister will lead the Bangladesh delegation to the high-level talks at the UN General Assembly.
Earlier, the Prime Minister made a state visit to India from last Monday to Thursday without Foreign Minister Momen. The foreign minister said in a press conference on Sunday, the day before the visit, that he is accompanying the Prime Minister. After that there were various discussions about the Prime Minister’s visit to New Delhi without prior announcement without taking the External Affairs Minister. Some of his recent comments, especially about India, come into new discussion.
Regarding the Foreign Minister not visiting India, the Ministry of External Affairs said that he did not visit India due to a sudden illness.
