POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 30, 2021 : The government has decided to control travel, strengthen diagnostic tests, take public health initiatives and increase publicity as a precaution against possible transmission of the new coronavirus variant. The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday. Several officials present at the meeting confirmed this in the first light.
The Department of Health has already sent 15-point instructions to field officials to prevent the spread of ammonia in the country. An inter-ministerial meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday at 11 am. The Ministry of Health has called the meeting. According to health department sources, the meeting will discuss the latest situation of the epidemic, progress of vaccination and possible situation arising due to immunization.

However, according to the Times of India, neighboring India has compiled a list of 12 high-risk countries, including Bangladesh, to control the transmission of the virus . Corona RT-PCR tests are being conducted at IGI Airport in New Delhi for citizens traveling to India from these countries. Other countries on the list are the United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Israel.

15 point instructions
Nazmul Islam, director of the disease control branch of the health department, told Prothom Alo yesterday that instructions have been sent to civil surgeons in 64 districts of the country .
The Ministry of Health has sent the instructions to the media. Passengers from South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swatini, Lesotho and other affected countries, as announced by the World Health Organization from time to time, are required to undergo health check-ups at international ports.
Emphasis has been placed on ensuring 14 days quarantine for passengers from affected countries. In addition, two more instructions have been given to quarantine those who come in contact with the infected person and to keep the identified person in isolation.
Four types of instructions have been given to discourage all kinds of rallies. There are three separate guidelines for adhering to hygiene rules in all religious institutions, including mosques, public transport and educational institutions.
All health workers including service recipients and service providers have been instructed to follow the hygiene rules in the service organization. It has also been said that when entering the office and staying in the office, it is necessary to make sure that everyone has a face mask. People have been asked to make people aware and follow the hygiene rules. The directive also says that vaccination activities should be continued in accordance with the health rules.
According to the Department of Health, 8 crore 85 lakh 33 thousand 253 people have registered for vaccination so far. Eighty-five percent of them received the first dose of the vaccine and 53 percent received the full two doses.
Two more died in Corona
Two more people died in the country in 24 hours till 8 am yesterday . At this time 226 new patients have been identified. The deceased are both men and they are from Dhaka division. This information has been informed in the press release of the health department yesterday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, the health department had given information about the deaths of 3 people and identification of 205 patients in the country.
Corona has so far identified 15 lakh 8 thousand 11 people in the country. Of these, 26,960 died.
