The highest number of vaccines was received in Dhaka and the lowest in Barisal

Dhaka Division is ahead in terms of vaccination against corona. The lowest number of vaccinations was given in Barisal division. Meanwhile, Dhaka division has witnessed the highest number of infections and deaths in the country so far.

So far, corona of 5 lakh 6 thousand 60 people has been identified in 13 districts of Dhaka division. Of these, 6,489 people died. This section has accounted for 53.29 percent of the total deaths in the country. A large part of it has been in the capital.

Dhaka Division and Dhaka Metropolitan are also far ahead in terms of vaccination. So far, 42 lakh 83 thousand 742 people have received two full doses of Oxford-Astragene vaccine in the country. Of these, 15 lakh 14 thousand 648 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka division. In other words, 35 percent of the full two doses have been vaccinated in Dhaka division. And 6 lakh 36 thousand 146 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka metropolis. In other words, the people of Dhaka city got 20 percent of the full two doses. Corona accounted for 39 percent of all deaths in the city.

On the other hand, Barisal division has received the lowest dose of full dose vaccine among the eight divisions of the country. 1 lakh 80 thousand 338 people have received two doses of vaccine in six districts of this division. So far 18 thousand 8 people have been identified here. And 414 people have been identified and died.

Public health experts believe that the population density of the capital has played a big role in increasing the number of infections and deaths in Dhaka. About 20 million people live in Dhaka metropolitan area. With the exception of Dhaka city, the infection is relatively low in four upazilas of Dhaka district. These upazilas are Dhamrai, Savar, Nawabganj and Dohar. Out of the four upazilas, the infection is a bit higher in Savar.

Apart from Dhaka city, Gazipur and Narayanganj have high population density. Since the onset of the epidemic, the rate of infection has been much higher in Gazipur and Narayanganj. So far, 6,229 people in Narayanganj have been vaccinated with two full doses of Oxford-Astragenera. 458 people died there. In Gazipur, on the other hand, 98,417 people have been vaccinated with two full doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca. So far 26 people have died in this district.

People of Chittagong division got more vaccinations after Dhaka. Here 8 lakh 75 thousand 6171 people have been vaccinated in full dose. After Dhaka, the death toll in this department is the highest at 2,060.

Then 1,133 people died in Khulna division. 4 lakh 91 thousand 465 people have been vaccinated with two doses in this department.

Rajshahi division is in the third position in terms of two vaccinators. 4 lakh 10 thousand 698 people have received full dose vaccination in this department. In that section, 981 people died in Corona.

Besides, 2 lakh 18 thousand 72 people have received full dose vaccination in Sylhet division. In Rangpur, 3 lakh 8 thousand 365 people got two doses of vaccine. In Mymensingh, 1 lakh 79 thousand 640 people have been vaccinated with two doses.
