POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 20, 2021 : The governments of India and Bangladesh do not want people to die at the border. The two governments have discussed and met at different levels. Despite all this, killings are taking place at the border. Which is sad for Bangladesh and shameful for India.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said this while talking to reporters after paying homage at Bangabandhu’s tomb on behalf of Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday afternoon.
Regarding the Rohingya crisis, the Foreign Minister said, “All the countries of the world have said in one sentence that the Rohingyas should return to their country.” The resolution has already been passed. That’s what we’ve been trying for so long. We believe this will put pressure on Myanmar to repatriate the Rohingya. Earlier, Myanmar had promised to take back the Rohingyas but they did not keep their word.
