POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 19, 2021 : The longest total lunar eclipse in 560 years will be observed today, Friday (November 19). It will last three hours 26 minutes 23 seconds. At this time the color of the moon will be red like blood. That is why it has been named ‘Blood Moon’ or ‘Beaver Moon’.
Such a scene will not be seen in the sky in this century. The moon will receive 98 percent of the eclipse. This is the last and second lunar eclipse this year. The first one was seen on 26 May.
Meteorologist Omar Farooq said, this lunar eclipse will be seen in the sky of Bangladesh. But at different times in each city. The lunar eclipse will be observed at 5:13 pm in Dhaka, 5:11 pm in Mymensingh, 5:10 pm in Chittagong, 5:05 pm in Sylhet, 5:16 pm in Khulna, 5:15 pm in Barisal, 5:19 pm in Rajshahi and 5:14 pm in Rangpur.
