We will take that; But let no one be confused by that word, let not yourselves be disappointed. I would ask everyone to be aware of that so that no one gets depressed. ‘
He said these things at the Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal awarding ceremony at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Saturday (July 23).
The Prime Minister joined the function virtually from his official residence Ganabhaban.
The Prime Minister said, there is nothing to be disappointed by the criticism. When the situation arises, we have to adapt to that situation. Still we will go with what we have of our own.
He said, ‘In this case, newspapers may write many things, talk shows will say a lot. Opposition parties will speak. Opposition parties will say, it is their duty to say; Let them say. We have to have confidence that whether we are on the right track or not, whether we are performing our duties correctly or not, whether we have taken the right decision or not and whether the common man of the country is getting the service or not. If we think that way, we don’t have to pay much attention to who said what. ‘
The Prime Minister said that the developed countries are talking about saving electricity, ‘we are not the only ones talking about saving electricity, the developed countries have specified that they have to save electricity. Whether you say England, America or European countries, I will talk more about developed countries, we are far away. Their condition is such a pitiful one. ‘
Referring to the situation in Bangladesh, he said, ‘I think, because we are administratively efficient, because our administrative officers or officers of other institutions are performing their respective duties, but we are moving forward in a better position than many countries. ‘
The Prime Minister said, ‘Everyone’s salary and comfort are all based on the money earned by the people. So work should be done for them in their interest, in their welfare. ‘
He also said, ‘I have created a beautiful environment at work. For you to be able to perform the duties assigned to you smoothly; But we have made many arrangements. Our aim was thus to modernize the administrative infrastructure. ‘
On the occasion of ‘National Public Service Day’, the ‘Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal’ has been given to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the first time. Until now, the name of this medal was only Public Administration Medal. This year, 27 officials from various government departments, three ministries and one unit received the Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal.
