After 11 o’clock the rain decreased a little. However, the Meteorological Department says that the sky will be cloudy throughout the day and there will be intermittent rain. The sun can be seen in the capital tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon.
The capital has received 44 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department. This rain has been due to the effect of cyclone ‘Jawad’. Jawad has become weak and has already become a clear light pressure.
According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, the cyclone Jawad in the West Central Bay and adjoining areas gradually weakened further to the north and northeast and turned into a deep depression at first. Later, it turned into a depression and was in the North-West Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas on Sunday evening.
Now it is slowly moving further north and northeast.
Meteorologist Omar Farooq of the Meteorological Department told Prothom Alo today that the low pressure has turned into a clear light pressure, which is causing rain. The capital has received 44 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of the country was in Faridpur, 6 mm.
Omar Farooq said that the sky of the western districts of the country will be clear by tomorrow morning. The sun may appear in the capital after noon. The night temperature may drop due to rain, but tomorrow afternoon the temperature may rise again.
