POBNEWS24, Dhaka Oct 19, 2023 : It is feared that some religion-based political parties, including Khatme Nabuwat, may create instability in Bangladesh before the national election by keeping ‘Qadiani’ issue as a tool to implement the Pakistani agenda in Bangladesh.

The leaders said that there is extreme fear among  the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat community of Bangladesh regarding this matter.

This has been known recently during a conversation with the leaders of the organization at Bakshibazar in the capital.

“Those who are born under threat and die under threat are Qadiani Muslims. Ahmed Tabshir Chowdhury, the chief coordinator of the mass communication wing of the party, lamented that, we  are being attacked outside the wall and are being attacked.

He said that the Hefazat conspiracy on May 5, 2013 was foiled by the government, which saved Bangladesh. They (Hefazat) wanted to implement Pakistani agenda in this country.

In March this year, many casualties were reported in violent incidents centering on the 98th annual jalsa of Ahmadiyya Muslims in Panchgarh. That incident was a far-reaching anti-national incident. In the incident of that day, houses and businesses of the Ahmadi community were set on fire and vandalized. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Bangladesh said in a press release at that time that they suffered a loss of about 11 crore taka. In the press release, Pakistan’s “Khatme Nabuwat” was mentioned as the instigator and mastermind of the incident.

Ahmed Tabshir Chowdhury, the spokesperson of the organization, said that Ahmadiyya Muslims live all over Bangladesh. Due to the incident in Panchagarh, there is still extreme fear among them.

It should be noted that about 3 thousand Ahmadi Muslims live in Ahmad Nagar of Panchagarh district of Bangladesh.

Ahmed Tabshir Chowdhury said that Ahmadiyyas have been living in this country for 110 years since 1913 and said, “We are citizens of this country and we have relatives in the larger Muslim society”.

He said, “We believe in all the fundamentals of Islam, including Kalema la ilaha illallahu muhammad rasulullah. We believe in the basic pillars of Islam, Kalima, Namaz, Roza, Hajj, Zakat. The Holy Qur’an is the last book of the Law of God. We follow all the rules of Islam”.

Ahmad Tabshir Chowdhury said, “Our main difference with the Muslim sect is that it focuses on the arrival of Hazrat Imam Mahdi (a). He mentioned that Ahmadi Muslims believe that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who came to Qadian in East Punjab, India is Imam Mahdi. This is the main source of controversy among Muslims.

Ahmad Tabshir Chowdhury said, “Ahmadiyyas were not an issue in Bangladesh in the 80s and 90s. But since the early 90s, a cult has been destroying the atmosphere of harmony and creating chaos among us. It has started a conspiracy to wipe out the non-communal and religious spirit of our great liberation war to re-Pakistanize our beloved motherland”.

Bangladesh today is the “Imaging Tiger” of South Asia. It is the role model of development to the world. So, to continue the current trend of the country, the state and the administration should take action against these religious business and communal groups, the agents of Pakistan, without delay. Ahmad Tabshir Chowdhury thinks that all conspiracies against the country should be eradicated through suppression of evil and observance of discipline.

He said, Panchagarh incident still keeps us in fear. In the past, we have been attacked before elections. The national election of Bangladesh is also ahead. There is also great fear about whether any attack takes place before this election. We draw the attention of the government to this issue.
