POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 10, 2021: The Dhaka Transport Owners Association has said that there will be no seating and gatelock service in the capital within the next three days. The bus owners have been instructed in this regard. The transport owners’ association also said that legal action would be taken against anyone who took extra fare in the name of seating and gatelock service after this period.
Khandaker Enayet Ullah, general secretary of the Dhaka Transport Owners’ Association, said this at a press conference at the association’s office at Bangla Motor in the capital on Wednesday morning. He claimed that out of 6,000 buses plying in the capital and surrounding areas, 198 CNG-powered buses were found, which is 3.28 percent. Apart from this, the association will look into whether there are more CNG-powered buses.
Separate stickers will be affixed on diesel and CNG buses within the next three days. Khandaker Enayet Ullah said that CNG-powered buses will not be able to charge extra fare then.
