POBNEWS24, Dhaka Dec 16, 2022 : On the occasion of the 51st Great Victory Day at Savar National Memorial, the President paid tribute to the martyrs. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They entered the Savar National Memorial at 6:30 am today and offered flowers at the main altar.
First, the President laid a wreath at the altar of the National Memorial. Later, the Prime Minister laid a wreath.
A smart team of Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force gave the national salute on this occasion. At this time, the bugle sounded a sad tune. The President and the Head of Government signed the visitor’s book kept in the memorial premises.
After leaving the Presidential Memorial for Dhaka, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her respects by laying wreaths at the altar of the National Memorial along with the party leaders as the party president.

Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui, Liberation War Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Chief of the three forces, Divisional Commissioner of Dhaka Division and Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka District were present.
After all the formalities, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s motorcade left for Dhaka from the memorial premises at 6:45 am.
