POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 24, 2022 : The US launched an attack targeting Iranian infrastructure in Syria’s Deir al-Zor region. The matter has been confirmed by the US military, according to a report by Reuters.
The Reuters report cited the US military as saying that the attack targeted infrastructure used by groups affiliated with Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in the region.
A statement from the US military’s Central Command said the strike was carried out to protect US forces from attacks by Iran-backed groups.
However, no casualties have been reported in the attack.
A few days ago, Israel carried out airstrikes in Syria. Three Syrian soldiers were killed and three more wounded in the airstrike. Russia condemned the attack.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at that time, strongly condemn Israel’s dangerous attack in Syria.
