POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 10, 2021: State ceremony. The President of India, Prime Minister and other important people were present on the occasion. The ceremony was to distribute the prestigious ‘Padma Award’. An 8-year-old tribal woman came there. His legs are bare. Wearing the traditional dress of one’s own tribal group. He greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others in the guest seat at the venue. They also greeted him. This scene has spread on social media. Many call it the best picture of the day.

According to a report published online by Indian media NDTV, the old woman’s name is Tulsi Gowda. He is an environmentalist. He has received the ‘Padma Shri Award’ of 2020.

Tulsi’s home is in the village of Hannali in the state of Karnataka. He is a member of the Halakki tribal group. Tulsi was born into a poor family. He lost his father when he was only two years old. For this reason, he had to start earning money at an early age. He started working in a local nursery with his mother. Tulsi did not have a chance to set foot in the school yard. He got married at a young age.

Tulsi’s great identity is that he works with the environment. He has been working to protect the environment for more than six decades. During this time, Tulsi has planted more than 30,000 saplings.

In addition, Tulsi is looking after the nurseries of the forest department of the country. He is known for his profound knowledge of plants. This is why it is called the ‘Encyclopedia of the Forest’. In recognition of this contribution, he has been awarded the prestigious ‘Padma Shri Award’.

The Indian President’s Office tweeted about Tulsi. According to the tweet, President Ramnath Kobind handed over the Padma Shri award to Tulsi for his social work. He has planted more than 30,000 saplings. Besides, he has been working for environmental protection for six decades.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other important people were in the guest seats at the award ceremony yesterday. In the photo published on Twitter, it is seen that Tulsi, dressed in traditional tribal dress, came barefoot to receive the Padma Shri award. He greets other guests including Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah also greeted Tulsi. Later, Narendra Modi stood up, took Tulsi’s hand and spoke to him. On the occasion, he received the award from President Ramnath Kobind.

Pictures of Tulsi’s various moments at the Padma Shri awards ceremony spread rapidly through social media. Social media users express their feelings by sharing these pictures. Many call Tulsi’s pictures the best pictures of the day.
