POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 27, 2024 : BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, strongly criticizing the Indian Foreign Office, said, “A lawyer was killed yesterday in Chittagong. We have been seeing the emergence of an organization for a very short time. How was this organization created and who is leading it? Yesterday, some leaders of this organization were arrested. All of them are leaders and activists of Jubo League and Chhatra League. They are trying to infiltrate this organization by posing as Hindus and creating instability across the country.”
One of their leaders has been arrested by the police and there has been a demand for his release from India. The Indian Foreign Office has been demanding his release. What are these signs?
He made these remarks while talking to reporters after meeting the families of those who were martyred in Mirpur firing by law enforcement agencies during the mass movement of the 24th student movement under the direction of BNP Acting Chairman and main sponsor of the Amara BNP family, Tarique Rahman, on Wednesday (November 27) afternoon.
Rizvi said, “When about two thousand of our ordinary people, children and boys, were shot and many were killed, did the Indian Foreign Office not give a statement? Did it not give a statement for this terrible oppression of Sheikh Hasina, for this bloodshed? Did it not give a statement? Today, when the government and all the people understand that some kind of conspiracy is going on, they are trying to destabilize Bangladesh by doing something planned.
Rizvi said, “It is as clear as sunlight that this crisis is being artificially created, it is being created in a very planned manner. Suddenly, they are descending on the divisional cities and making demands. When did they not make demands during Sheikh Hasina’s time?”
Rizvi said, “We have been living in Bangladesh in peace for a long time, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, and all over the world. Why is it being deliberately said that the Hindu community is not safe here? A large part of the Hindu community in Bangladesh is not among them. They also understand what kind of conspiracy is going on.”
He said, “They are showing signs of killing a lawyer on the ground, but the Indian Foreign Office has not issued any statement. They have issued a statement saying that a person named Chinmoy has been arrested for creating instability.”
Rizvi said, “They don’t seem to want to believe in Bangladesh as an independent sovereign country. They think that Bangladesh will run as instructed from South Block in Delhi. This is a country of 180 million people, this country cannot run like this. Policy makers in neighboring countries should not forget this.”
