POBNEWS24,Dhaka, Sept 12, 2025 : Corporate business organization “S Alam Group” has given 2.5 billion taka to Awami League President Sheikh Hasina who is in India. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir has recently alleged that a plan is underway to use that money to sabotage the election and bring Hasina back to Bangladesh.
At a recent event, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir opened up about Hasina. He commented that some political parties are planning and making new demands to sabotage the election. They are making demands that the people of Bangladesh are not familiar with. According to Bangladeshi media sources, he claimed today that a section within the government is consciously trying to prevent pro-democracy forces from coming to power. He also alleged that efforts are being made to make people forget about 1971. The BNP leader then brought up the topic of Sheikh Hasina. He talked about the conspiracy to sabotage the election with S Alam’s money.
The Hasina government fell last August. After the mass uprising, the then Prime Minister Hasina left the country (Bangladesh). Khaleda Zia’s party demanded elections within three months of that mass uprising. There was a heated debate about it. Even on that topic, Mirza Fakhrul said that if the elections were held within three months, the country’s economy would not be in a bad condition.
According to the BNP leader, the people of Bangladesh are not familiar with the word reform. However, since the mass uprising, all political parties have cooperated in every way for reform. He commented that no party has created any obstacles or taken to the streets with any big demands.
The general election in Bangladesh is just around the corner. But before that, Bangladesh is suddenly buzzing with speculation about the return of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. BNP is suddenly claiming that Sheikh Hasina is going to return to Bangladesh. Is there a plan to sabotage the election?
However, according to Nasir Uddin, a teacher in the English department of Jagannath University, there is a trend in Bangladesh to hold student union elections in universities before the national elections. Jamaat-e-Islami student organization Shibir has passed the DUCSU elections by a panel. Chhatra Dal and other panels have withdrawn from the elections against Shibir, alleging vote rigging at Jahangirnagar University. However, this teacher is very optimistic.
