POBNEWS24, Desk report, Dhaka Oct 12, 2025 : The Indian Army will host the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries’ (UNTCC) Chiefs’ Conclave in New Delhi from 14 to 16 October 2025, bringing together senior military leadership from 32 nations that have been key contributors to United Nations peacekeeping operations. The event aims to foster dialogue, strengthen partnerships and chart a collective vision for future peacekeeping in an increasingly complex global environment.
A Platform for Global Cooperation
The Conclave will serve as a unique platform for military leaders of the world’s foremost troop-contributing countries to deliberate on enhancing the effectiveness, inclusivity and sustainability of UN peacekeeping operations. The discussions will focus on strengthening interoperability, leveraging technology and reinforcing the role of peacekeeping as a shared responsibility in maintaining global stability.
This initiative reflects India’s long-standing commitment to multilateralism and its civilisational ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is One Family), a guiding principle that has shaped India’s approach to peacekeeping for over seven decades.
Aim and Focus of the Conclave
The UNTCC Chiefs’ Conclave 2025 seeks to:
Reinforce collective commitment to global peace and security.
Strengthen peacekeeping cooperation through dialogue, interoperability and best-practice exchange.
Reinforce belief in rule based order and safety and well being of population in conflict areas.
Strive for greater representation of troop-contributing nations in UN decision-making.
Foster peace for collective and inclusive growth through shared values and common good of mankind.
Participating Nations
Besides India, the Conclave will witness participation from the following 32 nations : Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, France, Ghana, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Rwanda, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay and Vietnam.
Programme Highlights
The three-day event will include:
Plenary sessions and thematic discussions on evolving peacekeeping paradigms.
Panel deliberations on technology-enabled operations and the safety of peacekeepers.
Bilateral engagements to strengthen mutual cooperation and trust.
Spouses’ interaction programmes underscoring the human dimension of peacekeeping and family resilience.
Insight to Indigenous capability of Indian Defence Industry.
A Testament to India’s Commitment
The Conclave underscores India’s role as a bridge between cultures and continents uniting nations in the pursuit of peace. It is both a reaffirmation of India’s moral leadership in peacekeeping and a step toward shaping a future where peacekeeping becomes more inclusive, responsive and sustainable.
For the Indian Army, peacekeeping is a civilisational responsibility that reflects the nation’s belief that security and humanity must advance together. As global challenges grow more complex, the UNTCC Chiefs’ Conclave 2025 will stand as a beacon of collective resolve and a tribute to all soldiers of peace who continue to serve under the blue flag with courage, compassion and conviction.
