10 people died of dengue in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours

POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Oct 6, 2026 :: Ten people have died of dengue in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours. This is the highest death toll in a single day this year. At the same time, 1,996 people have been admitted to hospitals. This information was given in a notification sent by the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday.
According to the information of the Directorate General of Health Services, 281 people have died of dengue in the country so far this year. And 90,356 people have been admitted to hospitals.
The notification said that in the last 24 hours, 203 people have been hospitalized due to dengue in Barisal division, 242 in Chittagong division, 480 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 194 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 187 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 302 in Khulna division, 96 in Mymensingh division, 199 in Rajshahi division, 75 in Rangpur division and 18 in Sylhet division.
