POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Mar 15, 2022 : Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has arrived in Bangladesh. During the visit, an agreement and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
Confirming the matter, a ministry official said. The Saudi Foreign Minister will arrive in Dhaka at 5.30 pm today at the invitation of Momen.
Dhaka is taking the visit of Saudi Foreign Minister to Bangladesh very seriously after six long years.
Asked about the talks during the visit, a senior ministry official said, “We have very good relations with Saudi Arabia.” We have labor market issues with Middle Eastern countries. Moreover we want investment from them.
The visit will focus on security issues, including trade and investment and manpower exports. It is also expected that an agreement and a memorandum of understanding will be signed.
It is known that on Wednesday. The Saudi foreign minister will hold a bilateral meeting with Momen. During the visit, he will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He will also lay the foundation stone of a language institute at the Islamic Arabic University in the virtual Keraniganj.
Earlier, in March 2016, the then Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Zubayr visited Dhaka. After almost six years, the current Foreign Minister of the country visited Bangladesh. He will stay in Bangladesh for 24 hours.
