POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Apr 7, 2022 : Shamima Nasrin, chairman of e-commerce company Evali, has been released on bail in a money laundering case. She was released from Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail around 6:15 pm on Wednesday. His family members were present at the jail gate at that time.
Halima Khatun, senior jail superintendent of the jail, said Shamima Nasrin had been lodged in Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail since September 21 last year in a case filed by Dhanmondi Police Station in Dhaka.
He was granted bail in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court. He was released from the jail on Tuesday evening after scrutiny of the documents.
Shamima was arrested along with her husband Evali’s managing director Mohammad Russell from her home in Mohammadpur on September 18.
