POBNEWS24, Dhaka, June 22, 2022 : Two more Bangladeshis have died after going to Saudi Arabia for the holy Hajj. A total of six Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia till Wednesday (June 22). This information has been given in the daily bulletin of Hajj of the IT helpdesk of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday (June 21).
It is known that the name of the deceased pilgrim. Abdul Jalil Khan (72).
His home is Pirgachha in Rangpur. He died on Tuesday night (June 21), local time, at the entrance to Riazul Jannah near Gate 36 of the Nawabi Mosque in Medina. His passport number is BX0552614. He went to Saudi Arabia under private management.
Another pilgrim is Beauty Begum (48). He is a resident of Kotwali, Dhaka. He died at the King Fahd Hospital in Medina early Tuesday morning (June 21) local time. His passport number is EA0009584. He also went to Saudi Arabia under private management.
According to the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, four of the six Bangladeshi pilgrims killed so far are men and two are women. Four of them died in Makkah and two in Medina.
The holy Hajj will be held on July 7, subject to the sighting of the moon. This year, a total of 56,575 people, including 4,000 in government management and 53,575 in private management, are getting the opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia for the holy Hajj.
As of Tuesday (June 21), 26,309 people had arrived in Saudi Arabia on six flights. Of them, 3,365 went to government management and 24,924 went to private management. As many as 48 flights have been operated till last Friday to reach Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
