POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Aug 11, 2022: The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China, signed the “Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Marine Science and Technology Cooperation” on August 7.
It was jointly witnessed by the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Bangladeshi Foreign Minister A. K. Abdul Momen, during Mr. Wang Yi’s visit to Bangladesh, according to a press release of Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming and Dhaka University Treasurer and Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed signed the MoU on behalf of the two sides.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two institutions will strengthen cooperation in the fields of marine science and technology, joint marine observation, marine spatial planning, and some other fields.
