According to the Saudi Gazette, Riyadh has the largest number of theaters and galleries in the country. There are 52 theaters and galleries.
The largest theater there has a capacity of 18 thousand spectators.
There are theaters as well as art galleries for stage plays. The Theater and Performing Arts Commission is working on the country’s ‘Theatrical Archive’ project. The aim of this project is to preserve the work and study of theater in Saudi Arabia.
