POBNEWS24, Dhaka July 8, 2022 : Popular television and film actress Sharmili Ahmed is no more. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun 6). The actress was 65 years old at the time of her death. He breathed his last on Friday (July 8) at around 9:30 am.
This information has been confirmed by the President of the Actors’ Association Ahsan Habib Nasim.
Sharmili Ahmed’s real name is Majeda Mallick. He was born on 7 May 1948 in Rajshahi. He was an artist of Rajshahi Betar. His first film ‘Address’, made in Urdu, was not released. In the sixties, she made a name for herself as a heroine in Subhash Dutt’s ‘Alingan’, ‘Aina O Abhisit’ and ‘Abirbhav’. He has also acted in some Urdu movies.
Sharmili Ahmed has also acted in her husband director Rupkar’s (Rakibuddin Ahmed) movie ‘Palatak’. After independence, he acted in movies like ‘Rupali Saikate’, ‘Agun’, ‘Dahan’ etc. She first played the role of an aged mother in the movie ‘Agun’.
