POBNEWS24, Dhaka Mar 18, 2021 : The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has paid deep tributes to the 101st birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In a message in Bengali on Twitter on Wednesday, he said, “I pay my respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the defender of human rights and freedom, on his birth anniversary.” He is considered a hero to all Indian citizens. It is an honor for me to be able to visit Bangladesh later this month to celebrate the historic Mujib Year. Separately, Modi tweeted the same message in English.
Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on March 26 and 27 at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to take part in Bangladesh’s Independence Day program as the guest of honor. This will be the first foreign visit of an Indian Prime Minister since the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
Meanwhile, in a separate Twitter message, Indian Foreign Minister. S Jayashankar paid deep homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In a message on Twitter yesterday, he wrote, “I pay my deep respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his birth centenary.” Bangabandhu’s ideology will continue to inspire millions of people around the world. He said India is proud to celebrate its birth centenary jointly with Bangladesh in this historic year of Mujib.
