POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jan 27, 2024 : The minimum night temperature has slightly increased in the northern parts of the country. However, in other parts of the country, the extent of mild cold current has increased. On Saturday (January 27), a mild cold wave is blowing over a total of 22 districts, including two divisions (16 districts) and six districts.
The minimum temperature may drop further in the next 24 hours. But then the night temperature may start to rise. At the same time, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that there may be rain by the end of this week.
Although the temperature has increased slightly, winter is still severe in the northern regions. In severe winter, people’s life is in a state of chaos. Normality is disturbed.
However, the dense fog situation is gradually improving across the country, said meteorologists.
On Friday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 5.8 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in Panchagarh. On Saturday, the minimum temperature has increased to 7.2 degrees Celsius.
However, the minimum temperature in Dhaka has decreased from 15.4 degrees to 13 degrees Celsius. Last night, the winter in Dhaka increased a lot.
Highlighting the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Saturday, meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick said that the weather in the whole country may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. From midnight to morning, moderate to dense fog may occur in some parts of the river basins of the country and light to moderate fog may occur in other parts of the country. Dense fog may disrupt inland waterways.
He also said that mild to moderate cold current is flowing over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions including Kishoreganj, Gopalganj, Moulvibazar, Jessore, Kushtia and Chuadanga districts and it may continue.
Abul Kalam Mallick also said that the night temperature may drop slightly across the country during this time and the day temperature may remain almost unchanged.
