POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jan 27, 2024 : The court asked former US President Donald Trump to pay another 80 million dollars in defamation case. The plaintiff in the case has to pay this amount. Earlier, the writer Jane Carroll accused Trump of sexual harassment. But Trump denied this claim.
Former magazine columnist Jane Carroll was ordered to pay the fine when a jury of seven men and two women appeared on Friday (January 26).
Earlier in May last year, another jury fined Trump $500,000,000 after finding evidence of sexual harassment and defamation.
The court found evidence that Donald Trump sexually assaulted Jeanne Carroll in a New York department store in the 1990s.
But Trump has not been charged with raping Jane Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room. However, the judges found the former president liable for defamation by calling the woman’s allegations fraudulent and false.
“We’re pretty happy,” Carroll told reporters after the first verdict. On the other hand, Trump wrote on Truth Social, I really have no idea who this woman is. This verdict is insulting.
