POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 3, 2021 :Dhaka University’s current VC Akhtaruzzaman and former VC did not obey the court’s order. The High Court has issued contempt of court rule against four persons including AAMS Arefin Siddiqui.
The rule has been issued as DU teacher Ayesha Mahmuda was not given all the facilities as a professor of psychology despite the court order.
The rest of the two have been ruled against the former registrar. Rezaul Rahman, current Registrar Prabir Kumar Sarkar.
The High Court bench comprising Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman passed the order after hearing the writ petition on Wednesday (November 3).
The writ petitioner is Professor Ayesha Mahmud of the Department of Psychology at DU and the lawyer appealing for her. Aminur Rahman Chowdhury has confirmed the matter.
