POBNEWS24, Dhaka, July 27, 2023 : The Public Health Engineering Diploma Engineers Association has made several demands including stopping the outsourcing of recruitment in various development projects of the Department of Public Health Engineering, updating the gradation list, basic training.
Recently, these demands were made in the general meeting and Eid reunion of the association in the auditorium of Public Health Engineering Building in Kakrail of the capital.
Dhaka Circle Supervising Engineer of Directorate of Public Health and Engineering was present as the chief guest in the event. Roshan Alam. In the first session of the program under the chairmanship of Abdur Rezzak, senior vice-president of the association and executive engineer of Thakurgaon, General Secretary Md. Masudur Rahman.
Abdullah Hail Kafi, assistant engineer of the training division, spoke about various professional problems and demands of diploma engineers working in the Directorate of Smart Bangladesh Construction.
Among the demands of the Public Health Engineering Diploma Engineers Association – stop recruitment by outsourcing method, update the gradation list, discuss with the association in case of transfer of engineers or taking disciplinary action against them, promotion, basic training, creation of post of assistant engineer in all upazilas, determination of scope of work, telephone in upazila office. – Internet is one of the facilities.
He also recommended setting up a permanent research and development cell, large-scale MIS/GIS unit and mobilizing the Human Resource Development Center in the Directorate of Public Health Engineering to build a smart Bangladesh and meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.
Assistant Engineer Badsha Mia presided over the second session of the program. In this session, diploma engineers from different districts and sub-districts strongly demanded to solve their various professional problems quickly. Later, the freshers were felicitated by the Association of Sub-Assistant Engineers.
