POBNEWS24, Dhaka June 4, 2024: On the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets to return home comfortably. Those wishing to travel on June 15 should purchase tickets on Wednesday. Passengers have to buy these tickets online as per Railway decision.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday (June 5) at 8am. As per the decision of the railways, the sale of tickets for all inter-city trains running in the western region will start at 8 am to facilitate the purchase of tickets for the general public. And the tickets for all the trains running in the eastern region will be sold from 2 pm.
Besides, advance tickets for June 16 will be available on June 6. A passenger can purchase maximum one ticket for Eid advance journey and return journey and can purchase maximum 4 seat tickets. In this case, the passenger will have to input the names of fellow passengers in the case of purchasing a maximum of these 4 tickets.
This Eid Yatra ticket cannot be refunded. To prevent ticket black-marketing, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number every time the ticket is purchased. Tickets will be sold on June 17, 18 and 19 depending on Eid moon sighting.
In this year’s Eid journey, the total number of seats of trains leaving Dhaka every day will be 33 thousand 500.
