POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 22, 2024 : Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud said that separate sections like humanities, science and commerce will be introduced from Class IX.
The advisor said this in a press conference in the meeting room of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The advisor said, next year, the contents of the textbooks will be changed along with the layout. Primary steps should be taken to reform the curriculum. As soon as time is available we will take steps to reform this curriculum.
Wahiduddin Mahmud, education adviser on HSC examination, said that the decision given by the chairman of the Dhaka Education Board regarding the examination remains in force.
Regarding the new appointment of VC and other posts in the universities, the education adviser said, “We are trying fast to appoint important posts in the universities.” But we are not a political government, if you want, we will appoint you from a list. We are vetted, honest-to-goodness, especially to hire teachers whom students want to see as parents.
