Earlier today, the Prime Minister inaugurated the country’s first electrified high-speed metro rail by unveiling a plaque at Diabari field in Uttara at around 11 am. Then he joined the Sudhi rally there.
The country’s first metro rail is being launched with Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6. Metro Rail is starting after the waiting queue. General passenger transport will also start from tomorrow Thursday.
The country’s first flying metro rail will be able to carry 60,000 passengers per hour and 500,000 passengers per day. Each one-way train with six coaches can carry a maximum of 2,308 passengers stopping at 16 stations from Uttara to Motijheel every 38 minutes. Metro rail will be able to transport more passengers in less time. This will greatly reduce the use of small vehicles.
