POBNEWS24, IU(Kushtia), Oct 16, 2024 : The students of Islamic University (EB) have formed a human chain in protest against the attack of Awami terrorists on the students who were soldiers of the popular uprising, the demand to ban the Chhatra League, and the government’s delay in arresting the terrorists. Meanwhile, the students have demanded that Sheikh Hasina be brought back to the country and given a proper trial, otherwise this movement will turn into a mass revolution again.
On Wednesday (October 16) around 1 pm, the students of the anti-discrimination student movement gathered in front of the main gate of the university on the Kushtia-Khulna highway. Later they completed the human chain program at the same place by circling the important roads of the campus.
During this time, the students had to ‘prohibit anti-humanity terrorist organization Awami League and Chhatra League; Do not accept the farce of the judges; Broker judges must be removed; Placards like ‘terrorist organizations and militant leagues must be banned’ are seen.
The speakers said, we remember those martyrs who gave their fresh blood to free the country from dictatorship. Sheikh Hasina took away the lives of thousands of talented students like murderer Abu Saeed based on this movement. Not only in this 36-day movement, but for 16 years, ordinary people and students have been sleeping, killing and torturing them just to maintain power.
They said, we can never accept the terrorist organization with which the blood of our brothers and sisters, parents are connected. We want to give a message to the present government, our government, the caretaker government and the revolutionary government.
The students said, if Sheikh Hasina is not brought back to the country immediately and brought under appropriate justice, our movement will turn into a mass revolution again. If you do not heed our words then such a movement will be made that you too will be forced to retreat. So the demand of students’ lives and minds is to ban this terrorist league.
