By Mir Afroz Zaman, POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Oct 7,2022 : The sunrise-sunset mermaid Kuakata is popular with tourists during the long vacation of Duga Punja.

Almost all hotels and motels are already booked. Hotel-motel owners are struggling to provide accommodation facilities to tourists as there are no vacant rooms. Tourists have booked hotel-motel rooms till October 10. This is what the tourism traders said.

People of all ages were seen crowding Kuakata Beach from Thursday afternoon to evening. Thousands of tourists have come down to Mithali with the waves on the beach. Everyone is happy.

Tourism businessmen and hotel-motel owners said that half a million tourists have come to visit Kuakata on consecutive holidays. Tourists started coming from last Wednesday morning. They have already stayed in hotel-motel and resort rooms. The local administration has ensured all kinds of facilities and security for them.

On Thursday afternoon, it was seen on the surface, the tourists are enjoying themselves by floating in the salt water of the sea. Many have visited various tourist spots. Some sat on beach benches and enjoyed the waves crashing on the shore. Among them, many tourists took pictures near the sea.

Meanwhile, the arrival of tourists has increased sales in tourism-related businesses. Mohipur Thana Police and Tourist Police are deployed at tourist spots for overall security of tourists.

Ranjan Bihari, a tourist from Jamalpur said, I work in a company. I came to Kuakata with my colleagues during the puja holidays. We visited different places and had a lot of fun.

Anivesh Deb, a tourist from Mirpur, Dhaka, said, I work in a private bank. I came to Kuakata with my family during the Durga Puja holidays. I enjoyed a lot. After not going anywhere for a long time, the whole family is happy to come to Kuakata. We like the atmosphere here. But the beaches of the beach have improved a lot compared to before. He said, Cox’s Bazar and Kuakata beaches seem to be the best in the world.

General Secretary of Kuakata Hotel Owners Association. Motaleb Sharif said that a large number of tourists have come on holiday on the occasion of Puja. Since the opening of the Padma Bridge, Kuakata has seen an increase in tourists. During the holidays there are several times more tourists than before. That is why hotel-motel rooms are not empty.

Kuakata Tourist Police Zone SP Md. Abdul Khaleque said, we are always active in the safety of tourists. Tourists are being warned by miking on various issues. We are asked to report any harassment anywhere. We have not received any complaints so far.

It should be noted that the current government is very active in the development of tourism. Kuakata on the shores of the Bay of Bengal in the south of the country. Cox’s Bazar beach is one of the best in the world. There is no such big beach anywhere in the world. Kuakata can be reached by bus from the capital Dhaka. 293.7 km. It will take 6 hours 48 minutes by bus. Distance from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar is 397.8 km. It will take 9 hours and 5 minutes to travel by bus. Cox’s Bazar route from Dhaka can also be reached by air.
