POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 21, 2023 : The T20 series is getting closer to the World Cup. World champions Australia and runners-up India face each other in a 5-match T20I series. And just a day later, on November 23, the T20 clash between the two cricketing superpowers will begin in Visakhapatnam. India has already announced the team for this series. India will play under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav.

Australia also followed the same path. They also brought change in leadership. It was thought that Australia could play in the T20 series under the leadership of David Warner. However, he is not staying in the series. Removed himself. Matthew Wade will lead Australia in T20I in India.

However, in the T20 series against India, Australia has formed the team by keeping several cricketers who played in the World Cup. David Warner has said he will not play. Three pacers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Jos Hazlewood have also been rested; But there is Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell.

However, in this series against Australia, almost all the cricketers who played in the World Cup in the Indian team have been rested. Apart from Sreyash Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav, there is no one else in the World Cup squad. There are several cricketers who played in the World Cup in the Australia team.

Warner scored 535 runs in this World Cup; But he doesn’t want to play in T20 series. This Aussie opener has returned home. Travis Head will be seen playing against India even without Warner. India lost the World Cup final after his century.

Warner will play the Test against Pakistan even if he does not play against India. That will be his last Test series. He had earlier announced that he would retire from red ball cricket after playing against Pakistan. Although he will be seen playing white ball cricket.

If Warner, Cummins do not play, seven members of Australia’s World Cup-winning team will be seen playing the T20 series against India. They are Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Jos Inglis, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa and Sean Abbott.

Indian origin Tanveer Sanga is in the team. All-rounder Aaron Hardy has been included in the team. He played in the 50 and 20 over series against South Africa before the World Cup. There is Ken Richardson.

The India-Australia T20 series will be played in Visakhapatnam (November 23), Thiruvananthapuram (November 26), Guwahati (November 28), Raipur (December 1) and Bengaluru (December 3).

Matthew Wade (captain and wicketkeeper), Aaron Hardy, Jason Behrendorff, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Jos Inglis (wicketkeeper), Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa, Sean Abbott, Tanvir Songa, Kane Richardson, Tim David, Nathan Ellis and Matt Short.
Suryakumar Yadav (captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad (vice-captain), Shreyas Iyer (for last two matches), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Jasswi Jaiswal, Tilak Burma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Akshar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasid Krishna, Abesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar.
