POBNEWS24, Dhaka Feb 3,2024 : Dhaka, The city of Lopburi in central Thailand has become a ghost town because of monkeys. Businessmen are no longer investing in the city. Most of the residents have also left the city. Thousands of monkeys have taken over the city.
The South China Morning Post recently reported that there are at least 3,500 monkeys living in the city. Monkeys vandalize shop fronts most of the time. Shop owners have to spend extra money to repair them.
The shop owners were forced to close their businesses and leave the city. Lopburi, once a trading city, has come down from 10 million baht to 7 million baht.
