POBNEWS24, Dhaka Dec 19,2021 : Mother & Child Care Hospital ‘1000 days. Life’ launched its operation in Khulna on December 18.
Shaikh Salahuddin Jewel, Member of Parliament (Khulna-2; Espen Rikter-Svendsen, Ambassador of Norway in Bangladesh; Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Sheikh Hasina Medical University, Khulna; Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Ahad, Principal of Khulna Medical College; Dr. Mehedi Nawaz, Vice Principal/PD of Khulna Medical College; Mostafizur Rahman Mostak, Co-Founder of the hospital; Management team, doctors, nurses and others attended the inaugural ceremony.
The guests highly appreciated the initiative, saying that it would make a great contribution in providing healthcare services to people living in Khulna.
They told that the hospital would provide healthcare services to pregnant women and till two years after their delivery. It would help reduce the mortality rate of mother and children.
Carsten Hjelde, Chairman of the hospital, in his video message, said that the hospital aims to provide improved healthcare within the affordable cost.
The hospital will open its branches in Dinajpur, Fulbaria, and other areas of Bangladesh soon.
People living in Khulna and its nearby areas will have access to improved healthcare services from many Norwegian and Bangladeshi visiting doctors.
