POBNEWS24, Dhaka June 25, 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the dream Padma Bridge today. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has left for the Mawa side of the Padma by helicopter. He left the old airport of Tejgaon at 9:30 am on Saturday (June 25) for the Mawa end of Munshiganj. He was accompanied by senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the program, the Prime Minister will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Padma Bridge at the end of Mawa at 10 am. Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader presided over the function. The Prime Minister will address the gathering as the chief guest.
He will issue commemorative stamps, souvenir sheets, inauguration envelopes and seals on the occasion of inauguration of Padma Bridge at 11 am. The Prime Minister will leave for the toll plaza at 11:10 am. There you will take part in the munajat by unveiling the inaugural plaque and mural-1 at the end of Mawa at 11:15 am with toll.
At 11:23 a.m., the road will leave for Jazira province. After crossing the much desired Padma Bridge, he will unveil the inaugural plaque and mural-2 at the Jajira end of the Padma Bridge at 11:45 am and take part in the munajat again.
From there it will travel by road to Kanthalbari in Shibchar upazila of Madaripur at 11.50 am. He will take part in the public meeting of Awami League at 12 noon at Kanthalbari.
After the public meeting at 2:35 pm, he will travel by road to Jajira Service Area-2 of Shariatpur. Stay there for a while. Later, Jazira will leave for Dhaka by helicopter.
