POBNEWS24, Dhaka June 25, 2022 : The remnants of the Padma Bridge inauguration festival have spread not only across the Padma, but across the country. The port city of Chittagong is also not lagging behind in celebrating historic moments. This achievement of glory is being celebrated in various events and programs.
A replica of the Padma Bridge has been set up at Jamalkhan in Chittagong city. It was created at the initiative of local ward councilor Shaibal Das. Many people have flocked to see this replica. They also took pictures of it.
A festive atmosphere is prevailing in Chittagong city on the occasion of inauguration of Padma bridge. The Chittagong City Corporation and the Nagar Awami League have made arrangements to broadcast the inauguration ceremonies of the bridges at various important corners of the city through big screens. Banners, festoons and placards have been hung at the corners.
The Awami League has organized a discussion meeting at the old railway station of the city at 3 pm today. Besides, the concert will be organized by the district administration. At the initiative of the district administration, a concert has been organized at the gymnasium ground next to MA Aziz Stadium at 4 pm. Bands Archer, Natai and Sustain will take part in it. And there will be a fireworks display at night. Until the end of the program, traffic will be controlled from Ispahani junction to Kazir Deuri, from wooden bungalows to open university junction and several other roads.
Chittagong City Corporation has started the program through a cultural program at 9 am. These events will be held throughout the day at the International Convention Center in Kazir Deuri.
