Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in her letter, “Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea have excellent bilateral relations based on values, mutual respect and common aspirations. Our relationship has grown tremendously in depth and dimension over time.
The Republic of Korea is now an important economic and development partner of Bangladesh. Our bilateral trade and investment has expanded significantly in recent years; As a result, the presence of Korean companies and firms in Bangladesh has increased.
He emphasized that the current development trajectory of our two countries creates immense potential for a deep, comprehensive partnership for the benefit of the people of our two countries. With more than a decade of accelerated economic growth and significant progress in other important sectors, Bangladesh is now offering ample opportunities for partners like the Republic of Korea. My government is implementing numerous initiatives and mega projects to modernize the country and increase the competitiveness of the economy. ‘
He expressed his deep confidence that the bond of friendship, understanding and cooperation that existed happily between the two friendly countries during Han’s tenure would be further strengthened. He expressed interest in working closely with him to further consolidate bilateral relations and advance regional and global issues of common interest. He invited the new Prime Minister to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient schedule to take the opportunity to jointly identify common priorities to take bilateral relations to new heights.
