POBNEWS24, Desk report, Dec 8, 2021: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is ranked 43rd in the list of 100 most influential women in the world. Leading figures in politics, human services, business, and the media have been shortlisted by Forbes, a US financial and trade magazine.
The list was released last Monday (December 6). In 2020, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh was ranked 39th in the list of Forbes.
Forbes says of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the longest serving Prime Minister in the history of Bangladesh. He is currently serving as the Prime Minister for the fourth time. In the current term, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina plans to focus on food security and ensuring access to education and healthcare.
At the top of the list is Mackenzie Scott, the ex-wife of e-commerce giant Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and a social worker and author. In second place is US Vice President Kamala Harris. In third place is the President of the European Central Bank, Christian Lagarde.
