POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Mar 8, 2022 : Today is March 8, International Women’s Day. President on the occasion of the day. Abdul Hamid extended his best wishes and congratulations to all the women of the world including Bangladesh.
The President said in a statement that Article 19 (3) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh calls for ensuring equality and participation of women in all walks of life. In order to establish the proper status of women as well as economic, social, administrative and political empowerment, the government is implementing extensive activities to prevent all forms of violence against women, including the expansion of women’s education, the establishment of women’s rights, and women’s empowerment.
