POBNEWS24,Dhaka, Nov 23, 2021 : The students have left the science lab in the capital by setting a deadline of 48 hours to accept the demand of half pass in public transport. Today’s rally started at 12 noon and ended at 1.30 pm.
For several days in a row, students took to the streets of the capital on Tuesday demanding half-pass of public transport. Students gathered at the capital’s science lab, Nilkhet and at the intersection of four roads. The students were seen chanting the slogan ‘Half pass is my right, not any whim’ in the science laboratory.
Students dressed as Ideal, City and Dhaka College took to the streets at the intersection of four roads at around 2.45 pm. The students stopped a bus named Touhid traveling on Gulistan-Dhamrai route at the corner of Science Lab.
The agitating students left the science lab at around 1.30 pm today. However, before leaving, they announced that if their demands were not met by next Thursday, they would return to the field that day.
One of the agitating students said, “We want the government and the administration to stand by our just demands.”
Due to the blockade of students, there is a huge traffic jam on both sides of New Market Road today. Public transport is closed. Thousands of people got off the bus and started walking to their destination.
